Morbid Curiosity

I loved the exhibit we went to! All of the pieces were unique in their own way, yet at the same time, it all connected to that one theme: death. Each piece was so interesting to look at and definitely had its own story. I loved how each piece of art was a different medium. Some were paintings, drawings, sculptures, tiny figurines and even a large chandelier of bones, each unique in their own way. Jodie Carey's piece was definitely my favorite. All of the bones on the chandelier were placed every so carefully to create that large piece which looked incredible. I loved her idea behind it too, how we don't ever see death first hand, yet we al experience it within others. I found it all so interesting. The fact that there were so many pieces yet they all tied in together made it so interesting. I would really love to see another exhibit there. It was all put together so nicely and the space that they had it in was beautiful. I loved how it wasn't your normal exhibit. It had bones and skulls and body parts which all revolved around morbid curiosity.
