She's off to do great things.

so my roommate informed me the other night that she is leaving Columbia to go back home to Arizona to pursue her career as a singer/song writer/guitarist. this came as a huge shock to me. but it's totally like her to do this. to pick up and leave and do her own thing. I'm so happy for her, this is really what she needs to do. so she'll be leaving on Sunday morning. she really was the most perfect roommate you could ever ask for. so easy going, we always got along, very sweet and enjoyable to have around. now my room will feel lonely and quiet and maybe even weird. I don't think they'll be able to find me  new roommate either, which sucks.

well, we'll see what happens. I hate the thought of her leaving. it makes me really sad. I guess I will just have to find a way to cheer myself up and think positive.

this is going to be so great for her. I just have to keep smiling :)
here's a little positive quote for all of you who might not be having the best day!

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

The joy's of changing your major...

Just went from Musical Theatre to Theatre, Acting in a day. thank goodness that's over!!!! I feel like a weight has been lifted off of me. All of my classes are squared away. Just got the last seat in a Introduction to Literature class. It's such a fun class, I love it.

Figure I'd right in here again today :)

Enjoy the sun everyone! It won't last much longer...

Have a beautiful day <3

This is me!

Where to begin. Well, my name is Bridget O'Connor. I am from a small town in New Hampshire and I'm 19 years old. My birthday is October 30th, 1992. I am a scorpio, which basically describes me to a T. I love to sing, act, dance, write and basically make people laugh. I was always that one on the playground who would always make people laugh by doing stupid things. I really enjoy improv and anything having to do with being in front of people. I really admire people like Lady Gaga for being different and unique. I love everyone who started on Saturday Night Live. I really look up to people like Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Alec Baldwin, Adam Sandler and many others. I have always admired them! For fun, I love to go shopping, I love makeup, I love watching movies and hanging out with friends.
I chose to come to Columbia because, well number one, it was far enough away from the crazy people I grew up with, but not too far away. I have always been passionate about the Arts and I knew coming here would be very beneficial to my career. I love writing and I always have. I take after my mom. That is definitely my medium preference. I have always been really good with words and description. I have a strong passion for writing. For some, it can be boring, but for me, it comes easily! I definitely hope to learn from others during this course and even strengthen some of my own weaknesses.

I don't have many fears or concerns about this class :) maybe that I'm not creative enough when it comes to other forms of mediums? We will see. I can't wait to start writing in a blog that people actually read!

This will be fun :)
